Nicole Noel is my youngest cousin. She is ten years old and she wants nothing more than to be a dancer. Unfortunately for her nobody really takes her seriously in our family even though she is the most interesting person among us: talented and driven. Her parents want her to settle down, focus on her studies and cast these childish pursuits aside.
Shadowing her in some daily life moments, I try to tell her story which could be the story of any “different” kid with a dream and a real passion growing up in a “corporate” family. As I get to follow her closely in group performances, I discover her being lonely in this passion and insecure when she confronts herself with other girls who practice more than how she is allowed to.
